Electronic health record

Electronic health record (EHR): a system used to collect and store patients/people health information in a digital format. It includes functionalities of Electronic Medical Records and goes beyond: EHRs focus on the total health of the patient, are designed to be shared with other providers (collecting info from all of them) and may be used for population-level analytics and preventive medicine.
